About
Dori came from the east coast and moved frequently as a child. Her imagination and creativity were the things that stayed constant. Over the years she was drawn to the natural world, where she felt the most grounded. Her appreciation for natural wonders lead her to carefully observe and render animals and plant life.
She has held many jobs while raising her two children, including running a daycare and teaching middle and high school art in Baltimore County. A move to Colorado after an early retirement was the spark Dori needed to get into producing her latest works.
Now she is a Boulder Open Studios artist and shows her work locally. In an effort to share with a wider audience, she has invited you to explore this website. If you are interested in a special painting let her know.
