I made this portrait of my cat, Ellie, and completely loved working on the furry texture. He sat still just long enough for me to get a good photo for a painting reference. Yes, he's a male with a feminine name. I did not name him. I met him and his brother while volunteering at the Humane Society of Boulder Valley. They were both 13 years old at the time and there was a note that they would like to stay together. I decided to adopt the pair almost three years ago and they have proven to be wonderful companion animals. We're getting along quite well.
This painting is too special for me to sell, but I am using it as an example of how I can make a pet portrait that is just as precious to you. All I need is a clear digital photo with good lighting and I can create an original watercolor painting for you or someone else who cherishes their fur baby. It makes a nice gift for the holidays and is sure to be treasured for a long time. This painting is 8" x 10". If you are interested, please send me an email with a photo attachment. Turn around time is two weeks, so allow enough time for me to complete it and get it mailed to you.
