This year I am proud to announce that I have been included in the Boulder Open Studios Tour for the first time. For many years I lived in a tiny apartment and was unable to participate when my "studio" was just a corner in my living room. This year I'm in a new condo in North Boulder, where I have more space and an extra room to call my studio. The Boulder Open Studios Tour has been a favorite activity of mine for years. Now I get to participate and invite the public to see how I paint and how my work has evolved over time. The tour runs for the first three weekends in October. My studio will be open for October 1 & 2 and October 15 & 16 from noon until 5 pm. For more information and a map of artist studios, check out the Open Studios website. Location information for my studio is on my Open Studios page.
If you want to try the tour this year, it is a good idea to go to the Preview Exhibit on September 30, from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm, at the Museum of Boulder. Each of the Open Studios Tour artists will display one piece of artwork that reflects their most current work to give you an example of what you will see and give you a chance to meet the artists. You can download the map or pick up a paper copy from the Pop! Gallery on 11th Street, just south of Fjällräven. You can plan which studios you wish to visit and make a day of it. The preview exhibit will remain open until the tour ends on October 16, 2022. While the opening reception is free to the public, the Museum of Boulder will charge admission for the other days. The exhibit is open Wednesday-Monday from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm. (Closed Tuesday)
I look forward to meeting new people, seeing old friends and showing you my art and process!
