Caribou Ranch

This piece just went to Invisible Disabilities in Denver for their upcoming awards gala and silent auction. The awards gala is called Laugh Out Loud! and will be held on October 21, 2017 at 5 PM at the Marriott Denver South in Littleton, CO. Invisible disabilities are disabling conditions that are not obvious to most people. Personally, my disability is chronic back pain. It may not be something that you can spot by just looking at me, but it is something I live with daily. Since I have an invisible disability, I felt compelled to donate a painting for the silent auction. Even with my disability, I still get enjoyment from hiking and painting. I combined two of my favorite activities for this painting.

I revisited Caribou Ranch yesterday for a lovely fall hike and stopped along the trail to take in the scene I was so familiar with. I am so thankful for the ability to get out and enjoy the Colorado sunshine and to capture it through my art.
